Raise children who:
are free to be their awesome selves
&
work toward social change
...while you unpack the gender role junk you
grew up with,
and do better for your kids - - starting today.
You’ll unpack your own bias and learn tools to:
Challenge gender stereotypes
Create a gender inclusive home
Support your child’s self-love and body respect
Align your feminist values with your everyday parenting
Create a supportive community who “gets it”
Raise social changemakers
Your parents probably did the best they could with what they had. But you want to do even better for YOUR kids.
Get ready to....
Say bye to the "pink or blue" garbage that you grew up with
Know exactly how to support your child's individuality & have easy talks about tough stuff
Support your child to love their body & set boundaries confidently
Create a community who “gets it” (get those family naysayers on board)
Raise social changemakers
You mostly avoided the “pink or blue” nonsense, but you want concrete ways to figure out if your hidden bias is coming through.
You (mostly) call yourself a feminist (because, duh! who doesn't want gender equity?) but you care about many other injustices and "isms," too + want to figure out how it goes together.
You encourage your kids to be who they are, but get nervous about potential teasing & weird outside messages when they leave your safe bubble.
You don’t force your kids to hug anyone, but you want to integrate consent culture into every day parenting.
You want to avoid raising a boy who becomes a future mansplainer or helpless dad.
You tell your daughters they’re strong and beautiful, and want them to love their bodies. But you don’t love the way you look in pictures… and secretly wish you looked 21 again.
You know that gender stereotypes suck, but you have a hard time getting the grandparents on board or finding a village of people who get it. (Plus, your stomach gets queasy just THINKING about confronting friends & family & teachers.)
You say you’ll love your children no matter their gender or sexuality... but worry about how you’ll actually handle it when the moment comes!
By the end of this program, you will:
Have tools to weed out your gender bias on the daily
Know how to support your children’s true selves, even beyond your safe little bubble
Design a home environment that supports inclusive kids
Get real about dismantling the gender roles in your home (I'm talkin to YOU, default home CEO!)
Feel completely confident to talk about gender stereotypes with your kids
Disrupt patriarchal patterns that you unknowingly perpetuate at home
Support your child with their bodies: to feel safe, respected, accepting & happy
Have tools to integrate gender equity and justice into your social circle and community - so you truly have a village.
Evolve your personal feminism (yup, it can be different from person to person!) to raise kids who know when & how to use their voices + when to elevate others’.

... and I’m passionate about striving for gender equality and social justice with kids.
The first time I heard an adult mistake my daughter for a boy, I was shocked at the way he spoke to her.
So tough, so boisterous. His confidence was unshakeable.
It was soooo different from that gentle babyish voice adults often use with girls. Hellooooo, ingrained gender bias!
Ever since that moment, I’ve made it my mission to help parents notice all the ridiculous… but sometimes subtle – bias that surrounds us and our children.
After working as a lawyer and a policy advocate, I have the coolest job ever at Think or Blue. I support parents, caregivers & teachers with courses, workshops + coaching to raise feminist kids.
I love giving parents the tools to incorporate their intersectional feminist values deep into the hum-drum moments of parenting. So that our children can learn & grow outside of deep patriarchal patterns.
Sound heavy? It can actually be really fun!
Because we're raising the next generation of change-makers.
“I joined this program to become the best parent I can be & increase my knowledge of my gender biases + how to support my children to be proud feminists. I wanted to identify some of my unconscious biases and learn strategies to make equality a part of my everyday conversation with my children.
During FPA, I realised that I still have unconscious thoughts that are sexist! For example, I uncovered an unconscious fear of my son being bullied if he presents as too feminine - but after the course, I now feel better prepared to support him if that ever happens.
Catherine is so patient and compassionate, and also asks really thought-provoking questions to help me figure out new strategies to try. Thank you so much for helping make me a more conscious parent for my children!
Next Generation Feminists [formerly Feminist Parenting Academy] is amazing! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Every parent needs to do this course. After all, parenting the next generation is the most effective agent of social change.”

"I signed up for [Next Gen Feminists] because I wanted to expand my knowledge of how to be an inclusive educator + caregiver of young children.
I love Catherine's Instagram content and how she explores nuances of gender in education, parenting & family dynamics. I was excited to dive deeper into these topics and Catherine did not disappoint!
Each week she presented new perspectives & facilitated thoughtful discussions.
I'd recommend this course to any educator or caregiver of young children who wants to set a new, more empowering narrative around children & gender roles from the start, or who is ready to reframe how they think about these topics for themselves.
Thank you for a nuanced and thoughtful course, I loved participating in it!"
- Olivia
"As a father of two daughters, I was new to feminism and anxious about how I could apply it to my children in an age-appropriate way.
This program has had a profound effect on my life. It helped me to have more free-flowing conversations with my children almost instantly.
I would recommend it for any parent or expectant parent who has feminist values, or maybe even those who are on the fence about feminism.
Catherine’s teaching style is fantastic - she’s a really good teacher, well-versed, and a lovely person.
I’m so happy I did the course. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done!"
-Dan

Fear of raising a kid who doesn't understand their privilege (I wouldn't call your kid a future jerk, but....)
The deer-in-headlights feeling when your family challenges your parenting decisions. (Bye-bye tongue tie!)
Fear of passing down patriarchal crap you've inherited for generations.
Not knowing how to raise an activist kid who helps instead of harms.
Worry that you're accidentally perpetuating outdated gender roles at home. (Can we say mental load?!?)
